Reproductions of atlases from the WardMaps.com collection are now available in two formats, created especially for researchers, genealogists and historians. The first is a printed portfolio and the second is a PDF CD. If a research portfolio is available for a given atlas on our website, the option to purchase will be shown. Two Convenient Sizes
We offer two sizes of printed portfolios, one featuring 11"x17" pages and the other featuring 13"x19" pages. Easy to manage 11"x17" portfolio is conducive to traveling and repeated reference. Larger 13"x19" portfolio features larger, easier to read images.
High Quality Materials
Portfolio bindings are commercial grade with solid vinyl covers front and back. In all printed portfolios, pages are single sided and are removable from protective plastic sleeves. Pages feature the WardMaps.com logo and information about the map including locale and date of original publication.
Archival Inks
Printed portfolios feature prints made with the same archival quality Epson Ultrachrome inks as our fine art prints. Portfolio prints differ from our fine art prints in that they are printed on standard 11x17 20lb bond paper. Maps are full color and faithfully reproduced. |

View Maps in Detail for Genealogy Research
On WardMaps.com CDs, all maps are 100% zoomable so that all names, streets and other detailed information can be read. Our CDs are perfect for genealogy research. We include atlas cover pages, index maps and street index if available. Please note that some atlases in our collection are not complete.
Universal File Format
Each CD features one atlas in a multi-page PDF file format. Each page of the PDF file features one plate or map from the atlas. Maps are 300dpi. Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to read the PDF file, allowing full pan and zoom capabilities in more detail than available on our website. PDF file CDs are produced on PCs and should work across all platforms via Acrobat Reader. Download Acrobat Reader here or use the link below.
Please note that PDF files are NOT printable. They are intended for high resolution and close up viewing on screen only. Prints our maps can be ordered from our website.
